Wedding Hairstyles

A woman's hair is said to be her crowning glory. This is one thing that
brides should keep in mind when choosing the perfect wedding hair
style for them. A bride has many things to worry about before her big day.
Most of the time, there's the stress of bills and expenses that need to
be settled, wedding organization that needs to be finalized, the
dress, the shoes, her makeup and her wedding entourage. With all that
stress, can the bride have time to worry about her hair?

Months leading up to your special day, you should consult a professional stylist.  Attempt to build a personal relationship with her so that she knows your personality  as well as your likes and dislikes.  Try and create an agenda on consultations to discuss the product and hair style that best suits you.  If possible bring in a picture(s) so that your stylist knows exactly what you have in mind.  Also, when meeting your stylist for the final practice run, make sure you arrive equipped with the veil you intend to wear on your wedding day.  Having your veil will allow you to determine whether your headpiece will fit around that style you so loved in the magazine. You should make sure your hair stylist availability is limited to just you on your wedding day.

Well, one way to help the bride save time when looking for the best
wedding hair style for her would be by approaching and setting up an
appointment with a hair stylist. Choosing a hair stylist can be hairy
business, since there are so many professionals out there that the bride
could choose from. It's important that when the bride is making her choice,
that she bring along cut-outs of her preferred hair style for the
event. She can consult with the hair stylist on which type of updo or hair
style would look best or go best with her facial features. She should
be able to find a cooperative hair stylist who would be frank with her
but at the same time would listen to her suggestions.

Also, when choosing the right hair stylist, the bride should inquire on
whether the hair stylist could do her makeup as well. Finding separate
hair stylists and makeup artists can work, but to make sure that the
makeup goes with her hair, she should have practice sessions wherein the
two professionals could work together on creating the perfect look for
her. It would also be best if the bride could show the hair stylist
her wedding gown, or if she could describe the wedding gown to the
stylist. The gown is a crucial aspect when choosing the best wedding hair
style, particularly when choosing whether to go for an updo or not.

When it comes to looking fabulous on her big day, the bride can rely on
professionals to help her look her best.

One of the worst days for a woman to experience having a "bad hair day"
would be her own wedding. In a wedding, brides are expected to look
their best. On her walk down the aisle, all eyes are going to be on the
radiant bride, taking in what she's wearing, how fabulous her shoes are,
her pretty makeup, and of course, her beautiful wedding hair style.
There are a lot of different hair styles that could be done for a
wedding, but for a classic wedding hair style, an updo is definitely the way
to go.

Updos refer to how a woman's hair is pinned back. A full updo would
have all the hair pinned up and away from the bride's face, while a
partial updo refers to the half-up, half-down updos, with only the top half
of the woman's hair pinned up. One classic wedding hair style is the
popular chignon.

A chignon is a type of hair bun, and is a famous hair style that can be
found in formal gatherings, particularly weddings. Chignon is
pronounced as "sheenyon", and is taken from the French phrase "chignon du cou."
This translates to the person's nape.

Creating a chignon can be a pretty simple process, depending on the
bride's hair type. Very fine hair often requires more pins to hold the bun
together. While very curly hair requires no tangles, so a lot of
combing is necessary. The following are instructions on how to make a
chignon:

Just like in paintings, creating a chignon requires a clean canvas, the
canvas referring to the bride's hair. Make sure that the hair is dry
and clean. Brush or comb the hair thoroughly to take out all the
tangles. One basic rule before weddings is never to condition the hair on the
day of the wedding. The conditioner would just make the hair too soft
and uncooperative when being styled by the hair stylist. For wavy hair
or curly hair, one way to make the hair more manageable would be to blow
dry the hair to make it straighter.

Once this is done, take some mousse and anti-frizz serum to stop
flyaway hair and stray strands from making their appearance. Then, proceed to
brush the hair. Tie it into a low ponytail, at the nape of the bride's
neck. If the hair is layered, and some layers would escape the
ponytail, secure the stray hair with pins or use a hairband.

With one hand, hold the base of the ponytail, and with the other hold
the end vertically. Then begin to coil the the hair clockwise. Form a
bun with the hair and keep coiling. For brides with really long hair,
they could opt to tuck the ends into the bun. If the hair is too short for
this, simply secure the hair under the chignon with a pin. Take some
hair pins and secure the outside of the chignon. There it is, a very
simple and basic chignon.

When it comes to looking fabulous on her big day, the bride can rely on
professionals to help her look her best.
